Michael Smith

Novelist and raconteur Michael Smith explores Britain’s modern obsession with cars and driving, as well as seeking to understand the effects it has on our daily lives. BBC Four, Thursdays at 10pm. With his laconic delivery and wry observations, coupled with lingering shots of the messy roadside sprawl, this makes for fairly downbeat viewing, and is all the better for it.

Much excitement here at PKD as we have been asked by Sony Music to work on the packaging of a deluxe, 20th anniversary edition of a legendary album. We’re not allowed to say anything more at this stage but the next few weeks are likely to involve a few take-aways and late nights in the studio as we get everything ready for press.
