In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

It’s been over 3 weeks since I last travelled into Shoreditch and despite reports to the contrary it’s still a ghost town. Having collected the mail at the studio I took a roundtrip via Brick Lane to take some photos and then back through the City and down to the river before heading home. I’ve long enjoyed this view of Bishopsgate with the looming towers and the wide street, made all the more dramatic by the complete absence of traffic.
