In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Today was my first cycling event of the year, a 208km trip around the Cotswolds. I’m glad I made the effort but didn’t take any photos despite the weather being as good as can be expected for January. Every time I ride round the country I’m reminded of how beautiful it is, sometimes easily forgotten. Here’s a photo from September 2019 during a ride round the Yorkshire Dales, God’s Country.
