Out on a ride today, the roads are still quite busy despite their being an end of season feel about the place. Most restaurants and beach bars are shut, I found these signs on the ground next to one such place.
In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.
