Today we found out that the Tour of Oman Bike Race will be cancelled this year due to the death of the Sultan. A shame, it was always a good trip to an interesting place and some welcome sunshine at this time of year.
In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.
