Steel

I had the great privilege of being at last week’s Ryder Cup, no corporate grandstanding but I did get the opportunity to climb up to the media gallery at the very top of the 1st tee, courtesy of my old amico Charlie Birchmore. From up there you get a real sense of the size and scale of this event, above is a photo looking through the km’s of scaffolding required to construct the grandstand. As anyone who’s ever played the game can testify, playing in front of even a few casual observers can send your game into a tailspin. Not Rory Mcllroy though. Nerves. Of. Steel.
