I don’t know what it is that caught my eye about Gills Cash & Carry - it’s next door in another anonymous warehouse unit but come evening time it announces itself with it’s humble illuminated sign picked out against a grey, murky backdrop.
In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.
