In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Searching for an image for today as we enter the last, dog days of lockdown 2.0. In November 2027 I was in Colombia and on my final night in Bogotá I made the trip downtown to visit the Fernando Botero museum, the country’s most celebrated painter. A distinctive style, it goes without saying but I’m a big fan (did you see what I did there?). There is something particularly wistful about this image as she subject gazes back from the view out over the city.
