BT Road to 2012

We were commissioned by the BT marketing department to create a legacy document charting their journey from inception, through training and final delivery as the official telecoms provider for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

This involved capturing the teams 'in action' over the course of 12 months at 20 selected test events and training days as they prepared for the Games. The images, shot by long-time collaborator Charlie Birchmore, capture the excitement and expectation of the event in a mixture of portraiture and reportage style images, shot on location at the iconic venues including the velodrome, the acquatics centre and the copper box, as well as familiar London landmarks that feature as backdrops to events in Greenwich Park and Horseguards Parade.

The book itself was bound in grey linen with white foilblock logo. Inside we employed a dot matrix ident for each section header and utilised a range of primary colours that became so ubiquitous durng the event itself. 1000 copies of the 132 page book were produced and presented to each team member at the closing ceremony to celebrate what, by common consent, was the best Games ever.
